The File of Life Program
The FILE OF LIFE Program was adopted by our fire district to aid our residents with providing our paramedics with as much medical information as possible during an emergency at your residence.
The FILE OF LIFE program is a card that is filled out by the occupant, or occupants, of the residence. The card is then placed inside a magnetic red pouch and is placed on the front of the resident's refrigerator. The information on the card contains medical history information about the patient that will assist the paramedics, especially in cases when the patient is unable to respond to paramedics. A separate file should be kept for each person in the household.
If you are interested in helping yourself, and us, please stop at station 1, 1970 Plainfield Rd, and pick up a FILE OF LIFE packet.
If you have any questions, please call 708-352-9229.
