SAFETY HOUSE

The Pleasantview Fire Protection District uses the safety house to educate our school children and other small groups about fire, household, and weather safety.  The safety house is open to the public on our Safety Day in the fall of each year.

The Safety house is set up like a small house. This enables firefighters to show how to be safe in your home. The safety house has a small kitchen, living room and bedroom.

In the kitchen, the firefighters discuss match, stove, and food safety,

In the living room, you will learn about outlets, fall hazards, and smoke alarms.

In the bedroom, we will work on a fire escape plan for the home. The children will escape from a smoke filled room.
